We are pleased to announce a collaboration with Tongcheng Tongmei to organize the App Inventor Regional Appathon in mainland China. App Inventor is a programming tool developed by Google and MIT for students and non-computer professionals.

Tongcheng Tongmei is a well-known brand under Tarena International, Inc. (Nasdaq: TEDU) focused on providing programming and robotics education solutions for Chinese children aged 3 to 18. Their curriculum system is centered around creative programming enlightenment, artificial intelligence programming, and robotics innovation engineering education. They also offer a wide range of scientific and technological innovation challenges and study camp activities.

Through the combination of online and offline teaching methods, they provide cutting-edge programming and robotics education products and services to more than 200,000 families in China, with over 2,000 live teachers in more than 200 offline centers and the Tongcheng Online Learning Platform.

Tongcheng Tongmei will organize three provincial rounds of the App Inventor Regional Appathon in mainland China, and outstanding works will be selected and advanced to the Chinese finals in each round. The winning works will have the opportunity to attend the MIT AI and Education Summit at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in summer 2024.

We believe that this collaboration will provide more opportunities for young people in China to unleash their creativity and technological capabilities, and help them better understand and address the challenges facing society today.
